Wendi Freeman has dedicated her career to supporting young children and the educators who serve them. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Oklahoma and spent 29 years as a classroom teacher, with experience in kindergarten, first grade, and pre- kindergarten. In 2022, Wendi joined the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness as the Early Childhood Systems Coordinator, where she expanded her impact through early childhood systems and policy work. After this valuable experience, she is excited and ready to return to hands-on instruction, bringing both her deep classroom expertise and broader systems perspective back to teaching. Outside the classroom, Wendi is married to her husband, Kevin, and enjoys cooking and sharing meals with her large family, including children, in-laws, and a granddaughter. She also loves attending live music events and spending quality time with friends and family.
