Cub Scout Pack 120 was honored by the Last Frontier Council with Pack of the Year in 2009!!!!!
Christ the King Cub Scout Pack 120 raises the school flag at 7:45am and then meets later that same day from 7pm - 8pm on the first Wednesday of every month.
It is during these pack meetings that the boys race homemade Pinewood Derby Cars or Raingutter Regatta Boats, enjoy friendly competition with Ultimate Frisbee, kickball games and Klondike races, celebrate Baden-Powell, the founder of Cub Scouts, with a Blue and Gold Cake Contest Banquet, share den accomplishments, show den crafts, recognize scout achievements with awards, and listen to great guest speakers.
These are also times when parents and scouts learn and plan for community and pack service projects such as LitterBlitz Clean Up, Martin Nature Park Stomping Parties and Popcorn Sales.
AND of course, there are the camp outs! Our Pack camps twice a year, once in October and again in April. It is quite the adventure, for both the scout and the parent!
Each grade has at least one den that meets once a month also. Each den has their own leader, own trail and own meeting schedule. There are the 1st grade TIGERS, 2nd grade WOLVES, 3rd grade BEARS, 4th grade WEBELOS I and 5th grade WEBELOS II. There is room for everyone! Come Join The Fun!! Our Cub Master will be happy to get you started. Cub Master Tom Ballas can be reached by phone at 524-1404 or by email tdballas@juno.com.
Scout parents and den leaders utilize the http://scouttrack.com system to update individual scout records and stay in touch. Please use the ScoutTrack CALENDAR to review details regarding upcoming events and the ScoutTrack BULLETIN BOARD for any important documents; IE: maps, camp out check lists, registration or medical forms, race guidelines and of course the PINEWOOD DERBY TIMES.
